  1. (www.Itgetsbetter.org) It gets better project is a site devoted to tolerance of differences between students. It was established by a gay person and its purpose is to promote anti-bullying messages to all kinds of students from all age groups. This group welcomes users to make up a video that promotes unity between people of differences and you are able to post it immediately to the website. It is an excellent interactive website that forces students (and adults) to think about their choices, their biases and their level of care for all people.

Bullying and the "that's so gay" phrase is tossed everywhere at the middle school I work at currently. This year I would like to promote anti-bullying throughout the classroom from the very first day of class. I am a creative writing teacher and want all of my students to know that individually is an honor and should be expressed without worry.
